My Story

Yoga has been a really important part of my life for several years now and has been brilliant for my physical and mental health.

However, it can be expensive and seem inaccessible. For this reason, it is often not available to people when they need it most.

The Brighton Yoga Foundation provides free or low-cost yoga for people when they are struggling. We work with people who have experienced trauma, domestic violence, chronic pain, cancer and mental health difficulties.

The results have been life-changing and even life-saving. This quote from one of our participants says it all:

"I genuinely feel like BYF saved my life at a terrible time, and then has helped me start living it again with more hope. It is beyond invaluable."

Research shows that yoga can alleviate depression, anxiety, back pain, high blood pressure and respiratory difficulties and more.

It costs around £450 to run a course with one of our brilliant and compassionate teachers and the brilliant Enjoolata charity have promised to match fund anything we raise up to £1000.

So reaching the target will mean more than six months of yoga for people who need it most.

Anything you can give to make this happen would be brilliant! Thank you x
